Very rare and unusual ladies hat… Percher style from the mid 1800’s… Consisting of many forms of adornments including black silk center with a black velvet band and ties, very fine detailed black lace underneath black woven straw, trimmed with a very intricate woven raffia and embellished with a black ostrich feather and adorned with many silk, velvet and spun cotton millinery flowers, buds and berries… This rare beauty is in good condition considering age and use with all being good except for the straw top of the hat… This part is damaged badly and very fragile of which I tried to show in the photos and this could probably be taken off if it cannot be repaired because there is black lace under it… The intricate and delicate design work put into this hat is truly stunning and will certainly not disappoint and will be a fabulous addition to any wardrobe or collection!
