Original 1910s WW1 ladies bicorn cloche hat. Totally original French 1910s WW1 Ladies Bicorn Cloche Hat: The crown of this beautiful hat is large and domed and made from deep blue velvet with black thread embroidery providing embellishment. The large brim is constructed in a wide bicorn shape and is adorned with pleats of velvet. A velvet banding surrounds the crown and sitting to one side is an original jet bead tasselled decoration. An original hat pin sits nicely at the back and is included in the sale. This beautiful hat is a very rare survivor, over 100 years old and still with such incredible original detailing. A ladies M-L size. Approx 22.5-23 inches. In excellent true vintage condition. A beautiful museum or collectors display piece and also eminently wearable.
