1910s English, black beaver fur felt ladies wide brim day hat. A beautiful Edwardian wide brimmed hat. All hand sewn in buttery soft black felt with an undulating edged wide brim and a shallow crown. Grosgrain ribbon surrounds the crown and sits to the front in a wide upright bow across the entire front. Small velvet florals with little droplets are the only adornment. The original hat pin is still at the back of the hat and is included in the sale. This is a very rare survivor, over 100 years old and still in such beautiful wearable condition. This lovely hat has something of the’Mary Poppins’ in its adorable styling. In excellent true vintage condition, pristine clean and totally wearable. Mentioned for total accuracy very slight hole where hat pin sits (not noticeable or detracting in any way – see images).
