1940s Lilly Dache fine black felt ladies day hat with hat pin. This is an exceptional hat from Lilly Dache, that most famous of milliners, trained by the millinery greats in Paris and went on to create a millinery empire in the USA. A collectors piece of exceptional quality and style. 1940s (possibly late 1930s) formed in a fine quality black felt in a picture hat style with hat pin. It is beautifully constructed with a rounded crown with waves of felt brim turned at the edge to give body shaped all around the face, spectacular felt shaping. With an inner turban effect sports a grosgrain bow to the side. The felt falls to a point at the back of the neck, with a beautiful original hat pin sitting prettily (included) The interior has the original milliners label and an inner grosgrain banding and elastic to hold. This is a collectors piece, a rare and exceptional hat. It is in excellent vintage condition, clean and totally wearable. Please home in on our images for the finest of details.
