RARE Vintage MITZI LORENZ Ocelot Fur Geoffroy’s Cat Tam O’Shanter Beret Hat. London Made in England. A fabulous original vintage Ocelot, or Geoffroy’s Cat, fur hat, by highly sought after Designer Mitzi Lorenz. The style is Tam O’Shanter – higher at the front and lower at the back, and there is a gorgeous leather rosette embellishment. The fur is in very good condition, with no holes or losses. The hat is fully lined with satin. The lining has some marks commensurate with age, and could probably do with a clean (please see final picture) but the hat is perfectly wearable as it is. The label reads’Mitzi Lorenz Model, London W1, Made in England’. Mitzi Lorenz was born in Austria in 1911. As a young girl she knew that. Millinery was her passion, and a. T the tender age of 15 she apprenticed at a Viennese fashion house. She and her husband came to England and set up shop on Great Portland Street, in London’s west end in 1938. The business flourished and she fast became a hat making legend. Her hat’models’ have always been highly sought after. Everything is ALL ORIGINAL. Small to Medium Ladies Size.
