Original Gage Brothers & Co. USA, 1930s wide brim picture hat. This is an exceptional hat from the famous Gage Brothers & Co. Chicago & New York. Formed in a fine quality deep brown sisal this iconic thirties wide brim is a sight to behold. A hat collectors dream piece, incredible to wear or display. With a shallow sloping and beautifully shaped crown, an ultra wide brim turning upwards at the edges. A wide ribbon falls through a green Bakelite strike to the front making this a truly stunning and unique hat. The interior has the original Gage Brothers & Co. Milliners label and an inner grosgrain banding together with an elastic to hold. This is a collectors piece, a rare and exceptional hat. It is in excellent vintage condition, clean and totally wearable. It is of a medium ladies head size approx. 22 inches but suited to all sizes as it sits at an angle high upon the crown.
