Original 1920s French Cloche hat. Original French 1920s Cloche hat with incredible millinery details. This is a stunning French cloche hat with striking Art Deco beading, sequin and embroidery work. The cloche is made of black satin with a black gabardine under brim. A large ribbon tied to one side bands the crown. A Deco Bakelite red pin sits to the back. A low front brim and turn up back brim, iconic cloche styling. The beadwork is in a geometric Deco design with black sequins, silver, -white, red and royal blue glass bugle beading and lemon and gold silk embroidery (see close up image). The workmanship is superb. An incredible Deco statement cloche. A stunning addition to a hat collection, beautiful to both display and wear. A good medium ladies head size, approx.
