2 Old Shutter Dogs french girl woman hat iron Art Deco vintage 1800s set #1 R Y. These shutter dogs were cast in the 1800’s. Each shutter dog has aged well and developed a nice patina over the years. I washed them with water and put a light coat of WD-40 to prevent further rust in storage. Both shutter dogs are rustic and would give an authentic historical look. They are the mortar in type that were in brick, stone, or the wood siding on a house. They are not a reproduction! They hare a R Y stamped into the side. They were likely hand made in the late 1800’s. Each shutter dog is about 6 1/2″ long and 1″ wide and 2 7/8. Tall to the top of the hat.
