This hat is exceptional! It is from the late 1930s to early 1940s. It is referred to as a tilt it tippy hat. It sits on top of the head at a slight tilt. It also has a large ring attached to the back that goes around the back of your head to keep it on. I have only seen one other hat that had that feature. It is made of a very stiff nylon that is twirled around to create this dramatic shape. It was made by MARY MOGEL of Chicago. It is in very good condition. It doesnt have any holes or wear other than one slight make up stain on the inside of the hat that is about 1 long. I think that it was barely worn. I cant say enough about this hat! It is really spectacular and would be a great addition to a hat collector or someone that wanted to make a very dramatic entrance to a party!
