Lovely embroidered net lace early bonnet or indoor cap, with a very long bavolet curtain at back. Shown on my 22 inch wicker hat head. Wonderful for your early doll! Beautiful, very fine tambour embroidery in intricate patterns covers this bonnet. There are cotton drawstring ties for the throat and a set of ties that gather the back curtain underneath too. I’ve seen and collected lots of lace boudoir caps and other bonnets, but have never seen one like this. Could date anywhere from the early 1800s to about 1900; your expertise will likely be able to accurately date it! Makes a very pretty display!
