1930s LANVIN French fine felt slouch hat. Beautifully and expertly moulded asymmetric slouch hat in cranberry felt with a Deco ribbon trim and huge amber ball hat pin. Made by LANVIN, 22 Faubourg, St Honore, Paris. It is easy to see that this hat is a couture piece, the expert moulding and shaping is stunning. The low brim and turn up back are wired, a grosgrain ribbon surrounds the crown and sits in a bow towards the back. This is Haute Mode French millinery at its very best. A small-medium ladies head size, approx. In excellent true vintage condition, totally clean and wearable. Minor signs of wear but nothing to detract from wearability. There are weaknesses in the wired brim edge but again nothing to detract at all. I will be listing many of my beautiful hats over the coming weeks so do please keep watching.
