1910s Edwardian Ladies wide brim Day Hat. Museum or Collectors Piece. The large brim and beautifully shaped asymmetric crown are constructed in an intricately fine woven straw. All around are white wispy and soft hackle feathers. To the front sits a band of velvet fruit and silk ribbon work flowers and leaves in hues of live green rust red, pink and green. The underside of the hat has an inner brim contrast in black silk as does the brim edge. Lined in black silk. This is a very rare survivor, over 100 years old and still stunning with such beautiful original detailing. A ladies M-L size. Approx 22.5-23 inches. In excellent true vintage condition.
