1940s Ladies tilt hat. 1940s WWII era, stunning doughnut tilt. This beautifully made and detailed tilt is original and an iconic 1940s statement. A sophisticated play on the munitions factory worker turban this is a fabulous forties hat. Formed in blue ribbed crepe chiffon in a padded swirling doughnut with wide elasticated bands in the same fabric securing the tilt to the back. Pretty millinery flowers in hues of fuschia and purple with cream stamen sit in the centre. It is beautifully shaped falling low to the front. A cracker of a forties hat! In excellent true vintage condition, clean and totally wearable. Of One Size as it is worn tilted at the front of the head.
