The Famous Barr Co. Fine felt tilt pixie hat from the 1930s. An incredibly beautiful fine felt tilt pixie hat from 1930s USA. Made by very highly regarded milliners’The Famous Barr Co. Constructed in a red high quality brushed fur felt in a sculpted pixie style. Adorned to the front with a black cut felt applique with beads and rhinestones. The inner has a grosgrain banding and the original milliners label. This beautiful hat is a Book Piece: This actual hat that appears in the Thames & Hudson publication “Vintage Fashion Complete”. This is a fabulous quality early thirties hat just oozing style and elegance. The hat is in excellent true vintage condition, pristine clean and totally wearable. It is of one size being a tilt style, secured with hat pins. Worn forward falling towards one eye. Eminently suitable for a ladies medium/average sized head.
