French 1950s Ladies day hat. This is a beautiful 1950s French black velour felt ladies day hat with original pearly hat pin. This lovely caplet was a very popular feminine style of the period, it is neat and easy to wear. It is very nicely made, just as you would expect from a French milliner, it is in a sophisticated caplet style, formed in black velvety velour, with pretty shaping to the crown and sides. A large pearly hat pin sits to the front. Very easy to wear (hat elastic to hold at back of head to be lost in your hair), of a medium head size, approx. Excellent vintage condition, totally clean and wearable. Changing the hat pin can change the look, if you would like a particular colour of pin in addition to the original, please just ask.
