1950s Ladies day hat with original hat box. This is a beautiful 1950s English rarity. So very few English hats survive from this period, this one is an exceptional example and comes complete with its original hat box. It is from North Yorkshire, England, UK. It is beautifully made in a sophisticated caplet style with the main body of the hat in black tulle netting which is edged in soft black velvet which falls in a tail ribbon to the back. All over are then, interspersed between the tulle, petals of velvet in hues of powder pink, lemon and green each edged in white like snowflakes. The pictures say it all, it is so pretty. Very easy to wear, of a ladies medium head size, approx. Excellent vintage condition, totally clean and wearable.
