1940s USA, Warner Bros. Studio Style designed by Caspar-Davis, an exceptional Hollywood milliner of the period. This is a rare forties tilt hat, a collectors piece as well as an incredible hat to wear. Oozing Hollywood this tilt has it all, formed in black lacquered raffia in the traditional topper shape, with a fine veil falling to the front. Around the crown and falling to the side is a red ribbon banding, over which are pearly droplets stitched into place with beads over a black ribbon. To the back is a sisal mesh that secures the hat with the original matching hat pin. A stunning, rare Hollywood 1940s toy tilt. It is in excellent true vintage condition, clean and totally wearable.
