A delightful very rare find, this Civil War era lady’s bonnet is in excellent condition. Created in bronze brown billiantine silk taffeta, adorned with puffy airy feathers that are centered with small blue feathers and gold balls. A larger rose bud and leaves on the other side. The neck is decorated with very lovely hand made lace and a slightly darker shade brown silk ribbon and bow. In overall excellent condition, a very few extremely tiny spots and I believe the inside lining is missing, thus you can see the stiff ecru buckram mesh framing. Have a great day!
