1930s ladies day hat. Beautiful 1930s ladies day hat in fine purple straw. This is an exceptional hat from the 1930s, it is just so pretty. Formed in a light weight lilac purple straw or sisal, with a rounded crown and wide turned up brim to the front. It is formed to sit asymmetrically. Olive green coloured silk ribbon twists and shapes around the crown interspersed with purple and yellow millinery pansies. An original tall hat pin sits to the back (a collectors piece in its own right). The wide turned up brim pinches in with a profusion of pansies to the front. Original black silk lining. This is a collectors piece, a rare and exceptional hat. It is in excellent vintage condition, clean and totally wearable. It is of a medium ladies head size approx.
