A very special chapeau. Scarce, a very early hat from Christian Dior, Paris. Dates to circa 1948 and has the Haute Couture label Christian Dior, Paris, and “Made In France” on the side of the label. Lush and buttery soft, sculpted French fur-felt with a supper velvety velour finish, hand shaped and completely hand sewn. Every stitch in hand done, even the inside head size ribbon.
