Vintage 1940s Straw Swansdown Velvet Flower Tilt Hat by Milgrim 40s. Beautiful vintage hat made by Milgrim for The LaSalle and Koch company in Toledo Ohio. A similar style can be seen in the MET’s online archive. Made of straw with what I think is black swansdown and pink floral bouquet with some velvet petals. Condition: Overall very nice condition, there is some damage to the straw on the back, the petals should be cleaned one by one. I have gone over the entire hat with compressed air and a damp cloth so it’s ready for you to wear. It is a little delicate due to the nature of the material used and age but very wearable. Measurements: This will fit most as it’s not meant to be pulled down to your ears, rather worn sitting a top of your head. There is an elastic band to help keep it in place. 20 around the inside band. 4.5 front brim.
