This is an 1800’s Victorian wool bonnet that is accented with black silk ribbon. Probably a mourning bonnet. Beautifully made, hand sewn with inner silk and ribbon bands. The rest of the interior is unlined. The black silk ribbon is threaded through the top, back and sides. Very classy, yet demure. In excellent vintage condition. Shows a slight bit of dye fade in the black wool randomly. No holes, tears or rips. I’d say this piece is Museum quality.
