40s Purple Wool Cocktail Hat Back Loops and Veil / 40s Film Noir Hat Millinery / Ida. Gorgeous, purple wool hat with a “dutch cap” style in the way the front sides flip up in little wings. There is X shaped lacing across the front, offset with a bow at the center – all in matching purple. The rear features a series of long loops hanging down the neck, also matching. A purple veil descends across the face. One size fits most as it conforms to the shape of the head. Condition: very good with two, small visible issues. There is one miniscule moth hole at the top of the crown, visible only when pointed out. There are breaks in the veil – typical of hats this era and also not noticeable unless you look for them.
