A fabulous Victorian 1880’s antique original hat that has been deaccessioned from a museum collection. The hat is made of beige lace and the outer edges are decorated with straw spikes. The front brim is decorated with a spray of orange flowers and a black lace butterfly. The back is trimmed with two gold hat pins. The bonnet is trimmed with orange slk ribbon and chin ties. The inside is lined with heavy net lace. The bonnet is in very good condition. There are a few missing straw spikes and some fading on the chin ties.
