VICTORIAN LADIES WOVEN STRAW BONNET HATS, LOT OF 4, 1870 THRU 1880s. Four ladies Victorian bonnet hats. These 3 bonnets and 1 lace bonnet are trimmed with millinery cloth flowers or felt flowers, or silk ribbon arrangements, black Chantilly lace or satin or grosgrain chin streamer ties. These hats were worn on top of the head and would have been held in place with hat pins and chin ties. These early hats are in very good sturdy condition for their age, with minor age related conditions. All hats in original condition no alterations. A great addition to one’s hat collection and in wearable condition. FROM LEFT TO RIGHT ON HAT STANDS. LEFT BONNET ON HAT STAND. A black woven straw ladies 1880s bonnet supported by inner wires, with black polish adjustable cotton inner lining, trimmed with colorful ribbon bows, clack Chantilly lace, black grosgrain long chin streamer ties and yellow and blue millinery flowers. The hat is in overall very good structural condition. No repairs, no holes, no fading of material, no stain damage. Some damage to straw weaving. 6 Top to bottom approx. MIDDLE LEFT BONNET ON HAT STAND. A 1870s woven black straw ladies bonnet decorated adorned with yarn covered balls of red and green weavings, and brown felt bows and streamer chin ties. Inside lining is a gathered adjustable draw string brown glazed cotton lining. This hat was worn on top of the head of the head and would have been held in place with its chin streamer ties. The straw hat is in very good structural condition. No holes, no repairs. Interior top to bottom inside opening approx. 7-1/2 Side to side approx. 7-1/2 Height of crown approx. MIDDLE RIGHT BONNET ON HAT STAND. A 1880s woven black straw ladies bonnet decorated with black tulle arrangements, and black satin ribbon over wire for shape and form. Inside lining is a gathered adjustable brown cotton draw string lining. Gathered and pleated satin ribbon decorations. This hat was worn at the back of the head and would have been held in place with long black satin chin ties. The hat is in very good/excellent structural condition. No holes, no stains, and no repairs, all original. No damage to straw. 7 Interior side to side approx. 8 Height of crown approx. RIGHT LACE HEADPIECE ON HAT STAND. A 1880s black lace ladies head piece decorated with black chantilly lace and black dotted net lace, and purple and white satin ribbon chin ties. Chantilly lace florals and purple ribbon gathered florets adorn this head piece. This was worn at the back of the head and would have been held in place with chin ties. The headpiece is in very good structural condition. Some lace has detached and needs to be reinforced to edge. 9 Interior side to side approx. Woven braided straw, ribbon and millinery flowers.
