This unique and very green design has a bow to one side, with three smaller “leaves” extending beneath the bow to the other side. A plastic tube runs through the bow and atop every leaf, also bordering the hat’s fabric and stiff mesh body. A veil completes the look, dotted with small sections of the same green tubing as beads held delicately in place with a single thread. Two hair combs, one on either side, hold the hat securely in place. Red on white tag, “Bes-Ben Made in Chicago” on the underside. Overall excellent vintage condition: minor wear to the netting veil, some plasticizer migration common to older plastics has occurred on the green tubing, leading to a minor sticky feel in places and some minor sticking of lint to the surface. Hair combs are held in place with elastic, currently in good shape for the age. Note that colors may vary due to monitor settings. Included is a vintage hat box, gold bottom with tan top marked Blum’s Vogue in gold on top, in overall good condition with some wear along the edges and handwritten pencil note “Marked Bes-Ben” on edge of lid.
