EDWARDIAN LADIES WIDE BRIMMED HATS, c1906, LOT OF 2. Two c1906 hats from the Edwardian period. One is a chocolate brown velvet wide brimmed feathered hat, and the other one is a lighter brown hat with feather plumes. Both would make a lovely addition to a collection of antique hats. LEFT TO RIGHT LEFT HAT. A chocolate dark brown velvet large domed crown hat with no band and upturned brim on one side and layered pleated velvet brim with brown feather plumes adorn the whole brim. Brim slightly upturned with wire inserted for stability. Gathered drawstring silk moire forms the lining. Label Reads: Mmme Georgette, 1 Rue de La Paix, PARIS. No wear, and with no damage, lining needs to be attached, drawstring for gathering lining is missing. Interior circumference measures approximately 22-1/2″ Opening 6-3/4″ x 7-3/4 ” Width 11-1/2″ Front to back 13″ Height of crown 3-1/2″ Width of Brim 3. This 1906 light brown velvet hat is adorned with brown feather plumes, lining and with no label. With splitting of black silk inner lining, most is gone. Velvet has no wear or stains. Interior circumference approximately 22-1/2″ Crown Height 3″ Brim 4″ Width 16″ Front to back 16.
