This particular style of hat would be known as a toque, which was a brimless and popular hat of choice in the late Victorian and early Edwardian period. The hat base is a very old straw with its original lining inside. Some brown stains but still in good shape! This hat is meant to perch on a large updo, secured with long hat pins. Add some light tulle to wrap around the hat and your face to create a cloud like effect that will be unmatched in any hirstorical costume event! Also included with the hat and keeping in tune with water birds is an antique goose feather hand muff. These are very hard to find and its a nice size!
