This is a magnificent early 1900s lavender straw wide brimmed hat trimmed with flowers and fruit–the inside circumference measures 23–suitable for a large head size. The hat measures 14″ by 15″ in diameter–the crown is 4″ high and the brim is 3 3/8″ wide. Petersen’s Sons Co. Overall an exquisite early 1900s hat—beautifully done–the flowers and fruit are lovely—the color is gorgeous. It’s very flattering on–would be great to wear and would make an exceptional addition to a collection. It would also be perfect for “High Tea”–similar to those worn on Downton Abbey.
