Vintage 1920s Flapper Cloche Brown w/ Beading, Schiaparelli, Corona, Italy, France. This is a very unique piece. We have been scouring the forums and internet to find anything comparable to no avail. Either we didn’t search in the correct places or there is none similar. The design is clearly circa 1920’s with a flapper inspired look. The cloche style is beautiful when worn low and the details on this hat are perfect. We have looked from stem to stern and there are no loose threads or damage visible to the layman’s eye. Perhaps your acute vision will be able to spot something we missed. Please check out photographs and let us know what you think. The caramel colored fur, I’m sorry I do not know the type, is intricately laced and beaded with black thin lace and black glass beads, at least I believe they are of glass, The interior has Schiaparelli of Paris label and a Union Made in the USA label with the code: BK 322908, The upper inside of the has has an embossed golden crown insignia of the Corona Hat Co. This is what we have pieced together so far. Let us know if we have any of this wrong. This is possibly an Elsa Schiaparelli design that was made by Corona Hat Co. Of Italy and imported for sale at a Boutique somewhere in the USA. We could be completely wrong, but it is exciting trying to put together the history of this beautiful hat, and the journey that has brought it to us.
