Leslie James USA, original 1940s red tilt Fedora. This is an exceptional original 1940s hat from Leslie James, a highly regarded American milliner of the period, rare and highly collectable. Formed in a bright red seam stitched velvet, in a tilt fedora style. It is trimmed with a bird of paradise to the side and an elaborate brown fishnet veil which hangs low to the front and in a long trail to the back. The interior has the original milliners label together with the millinery salon label B. And an inner grosgrain banding & elastic hold. This is a collectors piece, a rare and exceptional hat.
