This is a fabulous floral tilt hat, or, to use a more recent term, fascinator. I believe that it dates to the 1940s. The skull cap is made of millinery buckram and is loaded with silk flowers, mostly roses, of all types. The flowers are in tones of red, pink and white with some greenery. It has a net face veil. It should fit a range of sizes, – there are two small combs presently affixed to the interior of the cap, but it may be helpful to be secured to the hair with additional pins or clips. It is in very good condition – no noted breaks in the veil and the flowers appear clean and in good shape. This is an exceptional fascinator – sure to be noticed!
