Early 19th c period woman’s hat poke bonnet purple pre civil war original 1830s. Original early 19th c ladies poke bonnet. Original not reproduction 2. Dark purple heavy silk type of fabric 4. Good condition, not perfect 5. The bonnet itself is very sturdy, 6. Striped silk ribbon is mostly good, a couple of tiny holes in back ruffle 7. Silk ribbon around bottom is lined with stiffening, see photo 8. No neck ties 9. Was lined with white gauze type of fabric, mostly worn away 10. Covered wire round through the whole edge 11.
