Here we have a very special find; a lovely vintage hat and muff set from the 1940s or 1950s! Made from an unknown fur rabbit or beaver? In a faux leopard print, it has a luxuriously soft feel; the hat foundation is a mouse colored wool that is in excellent condition. The cloche style hat daintily frames the face and sweeps back toward the neck. Trimmed with a wool ribbon it ties gracefully in the back. Matching muff is lined with a beautiful russet brown lining not sure of fabric, rayon? There are some holes, only on one side nearest to the braided wrist loop and the fur is only slightly rubbed near zipper. Muff has a small coin pouch with a 6 1/2 in zipper, that really works! This is definitely a once in a life time fine! Perfect for winter with that special coat or lovely dress. A must have for that vintage enthusiast! A wonderful addition to any wardrobe!
