This 1940s designer, beret, oversized tam style lady’s hat is just fabulous! The hat is designed by Walter Florell of New York. It is a beautiful example of expert millinery design and fabric choice executing a flawless, high fashion 1940s statement! The hat has it’s original velvet bows caught at the nape of the neck cascading from the appliqued jeweled sections of the hat. Everything is black on black. Black, velvet, black glass bugle beads, black lucite bullet beads, and black fur felt are all of the highest quality. This one is a beauty! The way this hat frames the face makes any woman look like a portrait of class and elegance. The hat is of an average “one size” being 22s in circumference. It can be worn at any number of angles depending upon the size of the chignon the woman is wearing. The condition of this beautiful hat is excellent vintage. There are no holes or rips or tears or stains. All of the jewels are original and in place with none missing. The original label is in place inside.
