This is a super constructed and designed hat. The netting has a few holes as seen in photos. It could be removed. Or kept as is as its truly a unique piece of millinery history. This has tons and tons of creamy white flowers. Jack McConnell was from. At one time he was referred to as the “King of Millinery”. He designed hats for movie stars such as Joan Crawford and Lana Turner. It is said that a label with a red feather indicates the hat received the personal attention of Mr. This hat HAD the red feather and unbeknownst to me I removed it before photographing…. But a bit of it still can be seen on the right die of the label inside the hat. I had NO idea and thought it was stuck there by mistake as it wasn’t sewn on! Well, now I know, and this had is very high fashion chic for the time. I could see someone like a Lana Turner in it! VERY high end glamorous. I don’t have the feather anymore. It was about an inch or inch and a half. Will 21.5 Circumference. Tons of websites online that show how to measure the head. I LOVE LOVE LOVE hats. And I will only sell hats that are well made and constructed. I prefer hats with labels unless it’s a really interesting design or color. All sizing is not precise, but is to the best of my ability. I try them all on and describe how they fit on my head which has a circumference of 22….. Ask me questions, do your research, look at the photos and make an informed decision on these lovely vintage items. The styrofoam head I use has a 21 circumference. Use that as a guide as well. They are too fragile. Please be mindful of this. Keep in mind vintage does not mean perfection. It has quarks, been worn and will show signs of this. If you LOVE vintage, look, study the photos and ask questions. Make an informed choice. A happy, repeat customer is always my goal!
