A spectacular antique hat that dates to 1914, according to the label in the hat box in which it came to us (see photo). The grey silk velvet is just luscious. It has handmade metallic blue soutache trims, silver and blue silk dots with beadwork on the top of the hat and a stylish big velvet bow at one side of the brim. The brim is 2 wide as is the hat band. Inside it is lined in blue and beige watermarked silk. The condition is excellent, especially for an antique piece of this period. It appears to have been only lightly worn and stored for the past hundred years.
