It is masterfully embroidered using silk threads and features exquisite handmade linen bobbin lace trim along the front and inserted down the middle and back. There is a contemporary yellow ribbon bow on the back that you can remove/replace if it doesn’t suit your aesthetic. Such pieces were worn in Czechoslovakia to support the nationalist movement for an independent state and this is a unique survivor of the intersection of art, fashion and politics in pre-industrial Europe.
