This is a wonderful piece of Louis Vuitton history. It is over 100 years old and truly a iconic piece. This trunk was from Louis Vuitton Paris made for Saks & Company – Fifth Avenue – New York. It has built in cris-cross securing straps on the inside with Louis Vuitton imprinted on the straps. There are six shoe pouches with individual ribbon ties. On the exterior it has brass corners holding leather trim with two brass closures and a keyed latch in the center. The handle is brass with leather covers and the exterior of the trunk has the Louis Vuitton original logo print. Inside holds the Louis Vuitton authentication plate along with a Saks & Company label.
