Antique Edwardian Hat, ca 1910. The portrait style hat is a deep purple dyed beaver fur. Hat has wide brim – edges have wire form. It is trimmed with purple & black ostrich feathers, an interesting velvet flower with silk ball center and black grosgrain hat band and small back bow. The hat has silk lining. This beautiful hat is in excellent antique condition. Label: Miller Genz Milwaukee. Fabric: beaver fur, silk, ostrich feathers. Circumference around inside edge – 24 – hat insides were large to fit over hairdo’s of the day. Front to back – 12. Side to side – 14.5. Brim is slightly asymmetrical measuring from 4″ to 2.5″. Crown height – 4.5. Condition: Excellent antique condition – fur is wonderful throughout and on edges – Silk lining has small holes in one area.
