Vintage original “Styled By Jack McConnell New York” women’s velvet hat with multicolor rainbow stitch embroidery. The velvet is a deep purple – on the outside it reads more like an indigo bluish purple & the inner brim has a crushed purple look. (Please note the color is looking a little darker in my photos than how it is in person due to indoor lighting on a cloudy day). The outer edge of the brim has wire inside so it can be molded as you like. It has a pillbox crusher style, so there seems to be many ways you could shape and style the hat to your liking. Pre owned, shows light general wear. Was stored in a box. I carefully removed whatever lint I saw but I may have missed some. Maybe has some faint age discoloration on the tag but overall seems quite clean. Does have a bit of faint granny perfume smell, just needs a little airing out. There are 2 places where the lace lining has come unattached inside the crown & some areas throughout where the embroidered stitch is pulled or snagged. Reads nicely and is very presentable despite a couple minor things. You could probably clip the snags but that’s a personal choice so I’m leaving it as found. Please review photos and message with any questions. I wear a size 7 1/8 hat and this fits me very well. Inner circumference seems to measure at 22.5″-23″ around.
